Carly is responsible for the development and delivery of the Museum’s family programme. She creates science-based activities for families that focus on the Museum’s collections. Carly also supports and trains volunteers and University of Oxford researchers to design and deliver their own family activities for Museum events, including family science fairs.

Carly also jointly runs the Museum's Youth Forum for those aged between 14 and 19, encouraging young people to be more involved in shaping the Museum's exhibitions and displays, as well as designing events and resources for other young people. Carly manages the Museum’s secondary school art programme. She delivers art groups as an introduction to the Museum to inspire students to use the collections creatively, and creates online resources for students to use during their visit or school trip.
