Ant Mask
You may know ants as those unwanted visitors at your summer picnic, but ants are one of the most remarkable creatures with very busy lives. There are more than 10,000 species of ant worldwide which can be found on every continent except Antarctica. This craft is based on the red ant, Myrmica rubra, which can commonly be found in British gardens from January to December.
To make this craft, you will need:
- Ant mask printable template, printed onto paper
- Red colouring pencils or pens and decorating materials
- Scissors
- Elastic or string
Instructions:
- Cut out mask, including the circular eye holes.
- Colour in and decorate with red materials.
- Make holes over the two black circles above your ant's antennae.
- Attach string or elastic to wear!
