Join the Oxford University Experimental Psychology team to take part in real research. Taking part in these activities will help scientists discover more about children’s behaviour and how their brains work.
Information about the studies available on the day:
Three cup study (3-4 years) In this study, researchers look at whether early logical reasoning may influence the development of anxiety in young children. The children will play an online game and win sticker rewards. Parents will be asked to fill in an online questionnaire.
VR study (5-8 years): In this study, children will be asked to share stickers with others. The study aims to see how observer effects (number of virtual avatars watching) affect sharing behaviour in children. Duration 15-20 mins per child. Children will gain a book voucher and stickers for their participation.
